In order to improve the production efficiency of heavy oil, technicians in Dagang No.1 Oil Production Plant adopted enlarging the production pressure difference, increasing the wellbore flow pressure, and submersible pump to produce heavy oil. A series of improvements were made to the original ESP process structure, which widened the liquid flow channel, increased the temperature resistance of electric pump and cable, increased the motor power and formed a needle. A new type of heavy oil electric submersible pump for heavy oil production is presented. The new electric submersible pump for heavy oil improves the flow passage, widens the flow passage, reduces the flow resistance, and changes the flow passage of 50 cubic meters electric submersible pump from 4 square millimeters to 6 square millimeters. Due to poor heat dissipation due to oil consistency, in order to ensure the normal operation of the pump and extend the service life, the motor and cable temperature resistance level has been raised from 90 degrees Celsius to 150 degrees Celsius. With the increase of motor power, the 50m3 motor power was changed from 37KWH to 46KWH, and hot oil washing was carried out before well opening, and dead oil was washed out.
As of December 21, 2017, Dagang Oil Production Plant 1 has developed a new type of ESP for heavy oil wells by organizing technical personnel to improve the production process of heavy oil wells. The total output of ESP for heavy oil wells is 3171 tons, making the "short life wells" that could not normally be produced in the past become "longevity star wells". The birth of a new type of electric submersible pump for heavy oil has improved the productivity of oil wells, prolonged the service life of the pump, and opened up a new way for heavy oil production.
